Tractor mechanical work
Truck repair. Done by people who run trucks.
Tractor work for owner-operators and small fleets on I-40. Engine, drivetrain, brakes, electrical, air systems, DOT inspections. Real diagnostic tools, parts in stock, honest quotes.
KP Crossville runs truck mechanical work that most trailer shops can't. We came up out of trailer service through Knox Trailers, but the Crossville shop is built to handle the tractor side too — because most of the owner-operators we serve on I-40 need both, and shuttling between two shops isn't how anyone wants to spend a Tuesday.
Truck work we run
Engine diagnostic and repair
Computer diagnostic codes, fuel system issues, air intake, exhaust. Repair when economical, honest assessment when it's not.
Brake system
Air system leaks, brake adjustment, drum and shoe replacement, slack adjusters, ABS diagnosis. Same systems as trailer work — fully equipped.
Drivetrain
Clutch work, U-joints, driveshafts, differential service. Major drivetrain rebuilds where the labor math makes sense.
Electrical & air
Battery, alternator, starter, wiring harnesses. Air dryers, glad hands, air lines, valves.
DOT inspection & PM
Annual federal DOT inspections for tractors. Routine PM service. Documentation that holds up at roadside.
Tires & wheels
Tire service, wheel alignment, hub work. Common tire sizes for I-40 corridor work in stock.
Parts on hand
Most of what we need is on the shelf.
We run our own aftermarket parts counter — engine, drivetrain, air system, brakes, electrical. If we don't have it in Crossville, it's usually one pull from our Knoxville locations. A deep inventory across the network means your truck isn't waiting on a distributor delivery.
